Current Read ~ Marked, by Elisabeth Naughton

THERON—Dark haired, duty bound and deceptively deadly. He’s the leader of the Argonauts, an elite group of guardians that defends the immortal realm from threats of the Underworld. From the moment he walked into the club, Casey knew this guy was different. Men like that just didn’t exist in real life—silky shoulder-length hair, chest impossibly broad, and a predatory manner that just screamed dark and dangerous. He was looking for something. Her. She was the one. She had the mark. Casey had to die so his kind could live, and it was Theron’s duty to bring her in. But even as a 200-year-old descendent of Hercules, he wasn’t strong enough to resist the pull in her fathomless eyes, to tear himself away from the heat of her body. As war with the Underworld nears, someone will have to make the ultimate sacrifice.

The Fallen Star ~ Review

The Fallen Star (Fallen Star, #1)The Fallen Star by Jessica Sorensen
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Finally finished....So disappointed in this book. It could have been good. The story "idea" was good but I feel that the book was rushed.

The story idea went NOWHERE. She didn't give me enough in this book for me to want to read the rest of the series. She also didn't make me care about the main character. In fact, I am actually pretty happy it ended the way it did. To be harsh, Gemma was a waste of space. (and I know she probably gets out of her little pickle in the next book, which is why I won't be reading them..I prefer to leave it as it is)

Currently Reading: The Fallen Star, by Jessica Sorensen

This is the very first FREE read that will start "The Free Book Challenge"!  Feel free to join in and enjoy this free read with me!

Description:

For eighteen year-old Gemma, life has never been normal. Up until recently, she has been incapable of feeling emotion. And when she's around Alex, the gorgeous new guy at school, she can feel electricity that makes her skin buzz. Not to mention the monsters that haunt her nightmares have crossed over into real-life.

But with Alex seeming to hate her and secrets popping up everywhere, Gemma's life is turning into a chaotic mess. Things that shouldn't be real suddenly seem to exist. And as her world falls apart, figuring out the secrets of her past becomes a matter of life and death.

Well, this one sounds really interesting and it received high reviews on Amazon.  I have high hopes that this will be a good one!
